Julia founded Hot Pony Chili Oil in 2024 after she was inspired by iconic chili oils like Lao Gan Ma and the bold flavors found at local Toronto favorites like Rol San. Julia set out to explore creating her own chili oil. Driven by a love for salty umami and lots of texture, she went through many iterations refining the recipe. The result is Hot Pony Chili Oil—a uniquely textured and flavor-forward condiment designed to elevate any dish.
